The IAQM Process

Our IAQM Team

Since 1999 the IAQM developed decontamination process has successfully decontaminated residences, commercial buildings, government facilities, hotels, casinos, schools and their contents, no matter how extensive the contamination was. Our process has been developed and perfected over the last 7 years and successfully used in thousands of structures. Our protocols continue to evolve as new products, equipment and building materials develop.

Our latest development is the Decon On Demand (DOD) mobile unit, a innovation which restores contents through IAQM's exclusive on-site decontamination protocol. The unit is capable of removing chemical and biological contaminants including biofilms (biofilms serve as a lifeline to microorganisms, providing them with a place to hide and food; when an organism is within the biofilm, it is more difficult to reach and extremely difficult to eradicate). Moreover, the process neutralizes or removes mold, mold by-products (mycotoxins see www.iaqm.com/toxins.html) and odors from fire, cigarettes, fuel oil spills and even skunks. The DOD unit also safely restores important items from within a contaminated structure. Each step within our decontamination chambers or within your building renders the associated subject and biofilms harmless. We remove the source of contamination, restore health to your property and ensure that the air you breathe is clean of VOC's and mVOC's.

Before IAQM performs any work on your property, the structure is decontaminated with our Structural Decon. This product is a special non-toxic, non-corrosive formulation for the deactivation and neutralization of mold by-products within structures. After initial decontamination, our team will remove and dispose of all building materials with visible microbial growth (i.e., drywall, carpet, paneling, etc.).

Once the structure is free of all microbial activity, IAQM personnel will apply IAQM Structural Wash. The wash process removes the stains and assists in removing the biofilms associated with microbial growth on building materials by breaking down the organic matter that are the lifeline for microbial growth. IAQM Structural Wash is a safe, effective alternative to chlorine-based products.

Thereafter, the work area is cleaned and the structure is decontaminated again to neutralize any by-products released into the air after the wash was applied. IAQM Nano-Encap is then used to encapsulate building materials. IAQM Nano-Encap eliminates every chance of a growth-conducive environment.

For buildings with exterior moisture intrusion issues, IAQM Vapor Barrier Wrap can be applied after encapsulation. IAQM VB Wrap is a coating that wraps your building in a waterproof, rubber like envelope. This product is designed to provide maximum protection against structural settlement and other openings. IAQM VB Wrap is engineered to reduce moisture intrusion. VB Wrap is another innovative way to keep your building dry.

The IAQM process has been successfully applied thousands of times and will completely restore your property to its original contaminant free state
