D.R. Vrana
President/CEO/Founder
D.R. Vrana is a well-known researcher on air quality and toxic mold related issues and is the founder of Indoor Air Quality Management (IAQM). Mr. Vrana brings unparalleled expertise to the IAQM family of companies. He has first-hand knowledge of every phase of the industry and has consulted with over 17,000 air quality professionals, medical researchers, legal professionals, insurance specialists and mold-exposed individuals. Added to this are 21years of entrepreneurial experience in business development, ranging from inquiry to product delivery. His proven skills, knowledge base and broad accessibility to leading experts in the field make Mr. Vrana uniquely qualified to manage this organization. His duties include client litigation avoidance, business development, evaluation, validation and implementation of new technologies, personnel and client relations.

Neil B. Hall, Ph.D., P.E., A.I.A.
Protocol Management
Dr. Hall has over thirty years of technical, academic and supervisory experience in planning, design, construction, building pathology, facilities management, disaster relief, contract administration and international development. He is professionally registered and has court qualified in the fields of civil engineering, architecture and landscape architecture. His specialties include project management, investigation of structural failures, construction delay claims, fires and explosions, life safety and building code compliance, negligent errors and omissions, slip and fall cases, roof surveys, vibration analysis, concrete deterioration, indoor air quality, mold remediation, EIFS, building envelope evaluations and environmental risk assessments. Neil is a member of the Structural Engineering Institute's Standards Committee for the Structural Condition Assessment and Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings. The committee is responsible for the publication of Guideline for Structural Condition Assessment of Existing Buildings (SEI/ASCE 11) and Guideline for Condition Assessment of the Building Envelope (SEI/ASCE 30). He served as a member of the FEMA Building Performance Appraisal Team (BPAT) for Hurricane Georges. Neil also is a member of the American Institute of Architects Building Performance Committee and the Roof Consultants Institute Research Committee on Mold. Prior to joining RTC, Neil worked as a consulting engineer in private practice, with Engineering Systems Incorporated and Engineering and Fire Investigations (formerly CH&A Corporation) and as a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Iowa. Neil is professionally registered as a Civil Engineer, Architect and Landscape Architect in various states and with the Texas Department of Insurance as a wind engineering inspector. He is an AICP Certified Planner, Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor, Certified Fire Investigator and Certified Fallout Shelter Analysis. He has completed a LSU Department of Agriculture program as a Master Termite Technician. Neil served as a commissioned officer in both the Army Corps of Engineers (1972-1976) and Navy Civil Engineering Corps (1976-1992). He led disaster assistance relief teams in the Philippines, Taiwan, Honduras and Micronesia. Neil has hands-on experience with hurricane-resistant construction and design for nuclear blast and shock. He has prepared building damage assessments, cost estimates and maintenance budgets for the Department of State and Department of Defense. At RTC, Neil teaches courses in Commercial Drying, Mold Remediation and Construction Defects. He also has taught design and construction at the University of Iowa, University of Maryland, Tulane University, Northwood University, Central Texas College, Troy State University, Concordia University of Wisconsin, the University of Phoenix and the University of Texas (Arlington) Building Professional Institute.

David Gilbert, MRS, ROS, MRT
Building Envelope, Mold Certified Specialist, Certified Mold Sampling Specialist David Gilbert provides IAQ investigations, building forensics and construction defect support. Mr. Gilbert combines more than 15 years experience in architecture, engineering, construction, business consulting and IAQ/microbial investigations and decontamination/remediation protocol design. Mr. Gilbert's education consists of being a formally trained architect with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Architecture and Urban Planning with a minor in Chemistry; educationally certified by Global Environmental Resources and Training, Inc., the State of Florida's only accredited and recognized Environmental Training Organization; and Inspection Training Associates; the only California Department of Education accredited inspection school; for providing Toxic Mold Investigations, Designing Remediation Protocols, Remediation Oversight, and providing Acceptance Testing. This unique combination allows Mr. Gilbert to provide a thorough and well organized approach to the concerns facing the industry. Mr. Gilbert's extensive microbial investigation experience has made him a frequent speaker and published author providing educational programs for the Orange County Association of Realtors, Laguna Board of Realtors, Coldwell Banker, Prudential, Century 21, RE/MAX, (among others.) He currently carries the qualifications of Certified Microbial Remediation Oversight Specialist, Certified Microbial Remediation Specialist, and Microbial Remediation Technician. Mr. Gilbert is a Charter Member, sits on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Mold Management.

During Mr. Gilbert's days of building an outstanding reputation as a Designer, General Contractor and Construction Manager, his projects were awarded NARI's prestigious COTYA, Contractor of the Year Award, National Award (once), Regional (four times) and State (three times). His peers routinely recognize him as one of the best.

David Marcele, CMR, CIE, Texas licensed Mold Remediation Contractor, Mold Assessment Technician, Mold Tech, IAQM Decon Certified Project Management/Environmental Sampling
Before joining IAQM in 2002, Mr. Marecle worked in the railroad construction industry. While at Union Pacific, he was responsible for the installation and maintenance of crossing gates, train signals, and track switches. Additional responsibilities covered all areas of construction from blueprints to electrical wiring and connections to final installation. During the last four (4) years with IAQM, Mr. Marecle has performed many remediation projects across the nation. He has been a crew leader on commercial and residential projects and help train and develop new IAQM employees. In the field of environmental sampling, he has performs commercial and residential building inspections. Mr. Marecle has obtained distinction as a Certified Mold Remediator and Certified Indoor Environmentalist through the American Indoor Air Quality Council. He also is a Texas state licensed Mold Remediation Contractor and Mold Assessment Technician.

Katie Slyter
Customer Service/Estimating
Ms. Slyter has been with IAQM since it's founding. Prior to working at IAQM, Ms. Slyter's professional experience includes 10 years in the graphic arts industry. She started out as a typesetter and worked her way up to Pre-press Manager of a newly formed department, while managing 10 employees she was instrumental in helping the department attain sales of over $1,000,000 per month. Katie served as the point of contact for customers and vendors while overseeing all production. Her duties with IAQM include preparing estimates, corporate travel and coordinating job schedules and is one of IAQM's OSHA certified personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance officers and is a company trainer. As the trainer, she ensures each IAQM team member understands PPE, performs fit test and the proper use of their respirators.

Jonathan Alexander, CIE, Registered Texas Mold Worker, IAQM Decon Certified
Project Coordinator/Environmental Sampling Mr. Alexander joined the IAQM family in early 2005 and is the Project Coordinator and Environmental Technician. Prior to IAQM, he worked in management for Gap Inc. With Gap, he was responsible for managing the staff, record keeping, procurement and ensuring that sales associates provided seamless customer service for a $3 million store. He was also in charge of all shipping and receiving for the store. Prior to that, he studied at the prestigious College of Communications at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. Since joining IAQM, Mr. Alexander has effectively utilized his management skills to improve and streamline the work on many of our current projects. He has headed numerous remediation projects as well as provided training for other individuals. Whether in deconstruction or logistics, he has helped develop and implement successful strategies and protocols to maximize efficiency. As an Environmental Technician, he has conducted numerous IAQ inspections around the country. Mr. Alexander has certification from the American Indoor Air Quality Councils as a Certified Indoor Environmentalist.

Jeremy Elliott, IAQA CMR, Mold Tech, Registered Texas Mold Worker, IAQM Supervisor, IAQM Decon Certified Crew Supervisor
Prior to joining IAQM, Mr. Elliott spent seven (7) years with Security Vault Works of Dallas, Texas. At Security Vault Works, he was responsible for developing the protocols for the 4-man crews that were responsible for installing bank vaults and the installation of the vacuum tubing at the banks' drive through. He also served as the Inventory and Warehouse Manager. Within our organization Mr. Elliott has proven his ability to train our crew members while working under the guidance of Mr. Vrana. He then began working for IAQM as a supervisor while getting hands-on experience in the specialized field of mold remediation. Mr. Elliott became a Certified Mold Remediator and a Certified Mold Technician. He then began working as project manager on various mold remediation projects all while training upcoming CMR's, supervisors, and workers. Mr. Elliott was assigned by the President and CEO of IAQM to construct the industry's first mobile contents decontamination unit. The tractor trailer (18 wheeler) will decontaminate items like computers, electronics and other high-priced, sensitive items that may not be physically damaged can be restored quickly and effectively. Through his and the Company's research and development, he followed out the assignment and successfully constructed a unit that is capable of decontaminating items with mold contamination, smoke damage, and chemical contamination, with many other possibilities in development. The decontamination unit is active in the field where Mr. Elliott is currently the decontamination technician and provides technical assistance.

David Kennedy, Mold Tech, IAQM Supervisor, IAQM Decon Certified
Before coming to IAQM Mr. Kennedy was a supervisor for a residential and commercial glass company. He was employed with the same company for twelve years. David was in charge of the manufacturing of commercial and residential windows. Joining the IAQM team in April 2005 he brought valuable expertise related to moisture intrusion regarding windows. David has been promoted to IAQM supervisor overseeing the installation of fixtures on the current fifteen month project. While in this position he has acquired valuable knowledge in the de-construction/reconstruction industry. His current duties are to train associates and to ensure punch-list items are complete.

Zachary McConnell, Mold Tech, IAQM Decon Certified
Mr. McConnell was previously employed by Security Vault Works, first as a laborer then promoted to the Fleet Manager, thereafter promoted to Safety Manager. He was in charge of all safety programs, managed CDL Trucks (Legal documents and Maintenance), scheduled jobs and assigned crews to work jobs. He also created a filing system for trucks, oversaw the installation of ATMs and other bank equipment and handled shipping and receiving. Mr. McConnell is a license certified forklift operator as well. He obtained an understanding of the construction industry from when he worked at Reliable Construction.

Jonathan Spears, Mold Tech, IAQM Decon Certified
Mr. Spears joined IAQM in 2005. Previously, he worked in manufacturing and glass installation. After working for Choctaw Manufacturing and at the Nissan plant in Canton, MS, Mr. Spears has been able to implement an assembly line methodology into many areas of the remediation process and helped improve efficiency. He also brings to the organization a knowledge of moisture intrusion in regards to windows and doors, through his work installing glass. Since being employed with IAQM, Mr. Spears has been trained in remediation and deconstruction hands-on experience.

Billy Watkins, Mold Tech, IAQM Decon Certified
Before employment with IAQM, Mr. Watkins worked with industrial and construction companies. Ten (10) years in the industrial manufacturing and fabrication instilled in him a very methodical and practical work ethic which he shares with the organization. While working for Yates Construction Company, he performed the duties of Assistant Superintendent for five (5) years. Mr. Watkins also has a wealth of experience with concrete and foundations. This experience enables him to provide valuable service and perspective when dealing with concrete and water intrusion issues. Billy is an assistant crew leader with IAQM.

Nathan Honza, Mold Tech, IAQM Decon Certified, Crew Foreman
Mr. Honza spent six (6) years with Security Vault Works of Dallas, Texas. His first two years were as an assistant foreman. The last 4 years with the company, He was responsible for a 4-man crew installing bank equipment including vaults, safes, bullet proof windows, and the overhead tubing system in the drive through windows. Within the IAQM organization, Mr. Honza has proven his ability to run and manage crews. Whether the job was a complete deconstruction/decontamination or the renovation of a cafeteria style kitchen and dining hall or leading crews on the road for extended period of time, he has time and time again demonstrated his innate ability to instill a sense of pride in his crew and make sure the job was done the right way while working within the scope of our clients' unique situations. He has also helped the company organize their shipping and delivery of materials.

Lannie Reed, Mold Tech, IAQM Decon Certified
Prior to employment with IAQM, Lannie Reed was a general contractor for 15 years, working in construction and roofing. As an owner and operator, he inspected and supervised work during and after the job. He was also responsible for OSHA compliancy on all job sites. He has extensive experience with carpentry and structural renovations. Mr. Reed is currently one of our mold technicians having attended a four day mold training class and a assists crew leaders in deconstruction and decontamination.

Jimmie Shaw
Fire Suppression and Leak Detection
Mr. Shaw is a leader in the detection industry, specializing in engineered and designed systems. His work experience ranges from single story lease spaces to high rise office buildings, including industrial, commercial and residential. Mr. Shaw provides expertise in all phases of detection and protection needs such as spot leak, containment or reservoir leak, linear pipe leak, ammonia gas leak, hydrogen gas leak, and smoke, heat and flame detection. Mr. Shaw provides Indoor Air Quality Management with the necessary expertise in suppression systems ranging from dry chemical to Inergen. He provides vital support to the planners, engineers, and licensed technicians on whom our customers rely. Our guarantee is that every job will be done utilizing the highest professional standards. Mr. Shaw has been contracted to provide protection for major global corporations, including Baylor Medical facilities, Cingular Wireless, Southwestern Bell Communications, Verizon/G.T.E., Motorola, Trammel Crow, Texas Instruments, Nokia, and Halliburton Industries. Boyce Matthews
Drywall Foreman
Prior to his affiliation with IAQM, Mr. Matthews supervised drywall crews for Paul Lyons Company, Sachse Construction Company, Southwast Drywall Company and Unibuild Drywall Inc. He has honed his expertise in residential and commercial buildings and worked in and around hurricane issues in Florida. Some of the projects he has been foreman of include a 40-story condo high rise, a 50-story high rise building and a 55-story high rise building. For IAQM Mr. Matthews has managed up to 55 drywall hangers and finishers on a single project.

Stephanie Winther
Accounting Director
Mrs. Winther has been with IAQM for two years. Prior to working with IAQM, Mrs. Winther's professional experience includes 20 years in the accounting industry. She started as an Accounts Payable clerk with Hilton Hotels Corporation and worked her way to Project Accountant for several large Hilton construction projects in Las Vegas, NV. From there, she went on to work as the Accounting Manager for one of the largest architectural firms in Las Vegas. She has also helped manage a structural engineering firm and electrical contracting company. Stephanie has excelled with every company he has worked and has managed many high profile companies' accounting departments. Mrs. Winther understands many trades and the bookkeeping systems related to each. Stephanie possesses the knowledge and moxie to oversee the many financial duties associated with our expanding company!
